I don't believe anyone could
resist being curious about an ancient ruin he or she passes by.
The region we live in is incredibly rich in terms of these
ancient structures. For example Apollon Temple is huge compared
to others of its class. Milet, the birthplace of Philosophy, and
Priene, home of Bias, a wiseman of ancient era, are an hour
drive away from here. As didimli.com crew we have traveled and
photographed these and about 80 other ancient cities around
Didim. Photos of most of these ancient places can not be found
in any other source than our website.
Furthermore, the region is getting more and more famous about
the myths based on the history lived on these lands. On our
site, we have documented many mythological stories which have
originated here, like the Legend of Lake Bafa and the story of
the Daphne tree. |
